We Recommend
| Beware of the white salmon salesmen.
In case you missed this the first time around:
- Please read and understand the following story that is in every Introduction to Marketing and Political Science Text Book ever printed:
. P.T. Barnum is considered to be one of the greatest marketing geniuses that ever lived. He once purchased a load of salmon at a very attractive price without actually seeing the product. He later discovered that the reason for the bargain was because the salmon that he was how trying to resell was white in color instead of the pink that people were used to seeing. Fearing that their was little or no demand for white salmon, Barnum's answer was to print on the outside label. "Fresh Salmon - guaranteed no to go pink in the can".
Moral of the story: Beware of the white salmon salesmen.
- If you are ready to purchase a drive cooler, we recommend the only system that has been proven to be the best by independent testing facilities time and time again, Simrek Corp’s Multiport Driveshowers. We like the "KISS" (Keep It Simple Stupid) of their designs because we know that improperly designed "doo dads" will always led to problems. They have been the leader in the industry since 1999 and the most copied drive shower system on the market. Plus we find that they don't rely on "white salmon sales technics" to describe and sell their products.
. Without documented proof, assume that everything else, including the knock-offs of the Summit, are just gimmicks that may allow your drive to fail. To find even more information about drive showers in general visit Simrek's site driveshowers.com. We found it to provide credible and thorough information.
- If you're not ready to purchase a drive cooler, we recommend that you stop your boat at least every ½ hr. and submerge the drive in order to keep it cool.
- This site was created to educate the sterndrive cooler consumer and point out: design flaws and/or gimmicks that we see, plus scare tactics, misleading or even false claims made by manufacturers. It might appear that we favor one particular manufacture over the others but, an honest representation of a solid, gimmick free design, will escape our criticism. One manufacturer in particular is claiming that we favor Simrek, their designs and business tactics, over them and the Summit knock-off that they are peddling. They would be correct, we do.
Happy Boating,
N.M.S.A.
